Former United States President Donald Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion on Thursday over its "60 Minutes" interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, Fox News reported.
The lawsuit, which was filed in federal court in the Northern District of Texas, alleges the network engaged in "partisan and unlawful acts of election and voter interference through malicious, deceptive, and substantial news distortion." The complaint alleges that CBS, in an "attempt to tip the scales in favor of the Democratic Party," aired two different versions of Harris' answer to a question about the war between Israel and Hamas. The "60 Minutes" version of her answer did not include what the lawsuit said was Harris' "word salad" response.
"To paper over Kamala’s 'word salad' weakness, CBS used its national platform on 60 Minutes to cross the line from the exercise of judgment in reporting to deceitful, deceptive manipulation of news," the lawsuit stated.
