Trump to get NY case sentence on September 18

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan approved on Tuesday the petition to have former United States President Donald Trump's sentencing in the hush money case delayed and scheduled it for September 18.

Earlier in the day, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office revealed their willingness to change the sentencing date from July 11 and suggested July 24.

The official change came after the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) determined that Trump got to retain some of his presidential immunity in the legal processes trying his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
