Trump: US companies can sell equipment to Huawei

United States President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he will allow US tech companies to once again sell their equipment to China's Huawei as long as there are no national security concerns associated with such transactions. Trump added that that the issue of Huawei came up during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping earlier today, but it was decided to solve it in the final stages of negotiations.

Trump added that the US companies were "not exactly happy" about not being able to sell their products to Huawei. He also confirmed that the detention and possible extradition of Huawei's top executive Meng Wanzhou was not brought up during his meeting with Xi.
