New York Judge Juan Merchan announced on Friday in a ruling that the trial related to former United States President Donald Trump's hush money case will be delayed for 30 days.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg previously said he would be in favor of the trial being moved to a later date. "Although the People are prepared to proceed to trial on March 25, we do not oppose an adjournment in an abundance of caution and to ensure that defendant has sufficient time to review the new materials," he stated.
The trial is now likely to take place in mid-April.
