Twitter Inc. will delay the rollout of its blue check verification subscription until after the United States midterm elections, the New York Times reported on Sunday.
The social media giant on Saturday updated its app description in Apple Store, telling iOS users they will be able to purchase the blue check mark badge. "Your account will get a blue checkmark, just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians you already follow," it said.
The new $7.99-a-month service would also offer subscribers priority ranking, fewer ads, also allowing them to post longer videos.
