United Kingdom Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds informed Parliament on Thursday that the Government has compiled a list of American products that may face import duties in response to tariffs imposed by United States President Donald Trump.
Speaking to MPs on Thursday, Mr Reynolds said: "We still believe a negotiated agreement with the United States, rooted in our shared strengths, is the best path to economic security for working people. However, we retain the right to act as needed if such a deal fails to materialise."
He announced the launch of a four-week consultation running until May 1, inviting input from British stakeholders on which US goods should be targeted. This move allows businesses to voice concerns and help shape the UK's potential trade response.
