Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said in a post on X that the latest talks between officials from Ukraine and the United States in Riyadh were "productive and focused."
"We have concluded our meeting with the American team," Umerov said on Sunday evening. He revealed little else about the talks, saying only that the two sides "addressed key points including energy."
"President Volodymyr Zelensky's goal is to secure a just and lasting peace for our country and our people — and, by extension, for all of Europe. We are working to make that goal a reality," Umerov added. US officials are now set to meet with their Russian counterparts tomorrow in Riyadh to discuss the conflict in Ukraine further and work towards its de-escalation.
