Ukraine is geared up for a significant escalation by Russia, which may happen as soon as in the next two to three weeks, Sky News reported, citing Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.
"Russia is preparing for maximum escalation," the official was quoted as saying. "It is gathering everything possible, doing drills and training," he added.
His comments come shortly after the Belarusian defense ministry on Tuesday said its military staff began a week-long training session with Russian troops.
