Ukraine stressed its main goals during the talks will be to secure an "immediate ceasefire" and the withdrawal of Russian troops from the country.

Earlier, Kiev said that Moscow's agreement to hold talks "without preconditions" was "already a victory for Ukraine" and noted the country's delegations is ready to discuss "stopping the war and de-occupying our territories" but also to "listen to what Russia has to say."
