United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is "deeply concerned" by Israel's military operations in the West Bank and called for them to end immediately, his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said. He strongly condemned Israel's killing of Palestinians and insisted that it must abide by international law.
"These dangerous developments are fueling an already explosive situation in the occupied West Bank and further undermining the Palestinian Authority," Dujarric said in a statement, adding that the UN will continue to work with all parties toward de-escalation and a two-state solution.
