The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) shared in its latest update released on Tuesday that the food distribution in the city of Rafah is "currently suspended" due to insecurity and lack of supplies.
"Only 7 out of 24 UNRWA health centers are operational. In the last ten days they have not received any medical supplies due to Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossing closures/disruptions," the agency said.
Previously, United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan called on Israeli authorities to ensure that more aid enters the Gaza Strip.
