The United States won't stay in the way of other countries supplying Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, CNN reported citing sources familiar with the matter.
Although the Biden administration has allegedly been signaling to European allies, in recent weeks, that the country won't object to exports of these aircraft, despite not wanting to send its own, no formal requests on this so far seem to have been forwarded to the US officials, the sources explained.
Any third party that wishes to deliver F-16s to Kiev must first get official permission from Washington to do so, as the jets contain sensitive US technology.
