Russia calls for diplomacy amid Middle East escalation

Russia's Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the recent escalation in the Middle East following Iran's retaliatory strike against Israel.

In a statement, released Sunday, the ministry urged all parties involved to exercise restraint and emphasized the importance of resolving issues in the region through political and diplomatic channels.

"We express our utmost concern about another dangerous escalation in the region," the ministry wrote, adding that such incidents are usually "fueled by irresponsible provocative actions."
