United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters aboard Air Force One on Wednesday that the US and Europe are still working on details in regard to putting the price cap on Russian oil.
Sullivan added that officials have reached out to "a number of the key consuming countries," and that the Biden administration has been transparent about its intent to "work to reduce Russian revenues while at the same time to try to minimize disruption to the global economy and to consumers."
Nevertheless, he stressed that the discussions on the price cap cannot be completed in days. Sullivan asserted that it "will take time because of the number of elements that need to be worked through."
