United States House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler issued a subpoena to former White House counsel Don McGahn (pictured) to testify as part of the Democrats' ongoing investigation into US President Donald Trump's possible obstruction of justice.
McGahn is asked to appear before the panel on May 21, as well as to submit a number of documents on May 7. The documents include any material related to the resignation of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, the firing of FBI Director James Comey, the recusal and firing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller to the Russia probe, and others. The committee also requested documents on the Trump Tower meeting with Russian nationals, Trump Organization's contacts with Moscow, as well as any payments Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen may have made in the president's name.
