United States President Donald Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, who is leading the US delegation in talks with Iran, said on Tuesday that Tehran "must stop and eliminate its nuclear enrichment and weaponization program."

Witkoff noted in a statement published on X that any agreement with Iran "will only be completed if it is a Trump deal." "Any final arrangement must set a framework for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East," he underlined, adding that "it is imperative for the world that we create a tough, fair deal that will endure."

Previously, the special envoy said that the US does not seek to dismantle Iran's entire nuclear program, but wants to limit its uranium enrichment.
