White House team of national security advisers has been strategizing a scenario in case Russia decides to use chemical, biological or nuclear weapons in its military operation in Ukraine, The New York Times reported, citing several US officials involved in the process.
The so-called "tiger team," formed in October last year, is also considering different responses to Moscow attacking NATO territory, as well as ways to help European nations with the recent inflow of refugees from Ukraine.
United States President Biden is reportedly expected to discuss the plans in Brussels on Thursday.
