The United States government is set to provide Ukraine with a $725 million military aid package, which will include counter-drone systems and munitions for its High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), according to two anonymous sources quoted by AFP on Monday.

While officials did not confirm whether the HIMARS munitions include the ATACMS, the package also includes anti-personnel landmines, intended to help slow Russian and North Korean ground forces in the Kursk region. Should it be confirmed, this could signal the arrival of longer-range missiles, potentially the ATACMS, which Ukraine has been requesting to strike deeper into Russia.
