Producer prices in the United States saw a monthly increase of 0.3% in January, the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed in its report issued on Friday. Year-on-year, the figure grew by 0.9%.
The document attributed the rise mostly to final demand services less trade, transportation, and warehousing, such as hospital outpatient care.
The index for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services gained 0.6% on a monthly basis and 2.6% on an annual one.
