The United States and South Korea conducted landing and takeoff drills on an emergency runway on Tuesday, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing Seoul's Air Force.
The move reportedly came in response to North Korea's latest assertions that it has numerous rocket launchers powerful enough to demolish an enemy airfield.
The drills involved 10 aircraft, including South Korea's C-130 and CN-235 transport aircraft and the American A-10 attack warplane and MC-130J combat transport aircraft.
