The United States and South Korea will conduct major annual military drills this week, Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) stated.
JCS noted that the exercises, which will take place from August 19 to August 29, will focus on strengthening readiness to respond to North Korean military threats and defend against weapons of mass destruction.
The drills will include conducting multi-domain exercises utilizing a variety of assets, including land, sea, air, cyber and space, Seoul's military added.
