The United States Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said on Thursday in a notice that it is putting fresh sanctions on Russia-related entities and individuals, among which is Gazprombank (GPB), the third largest bank in the country.
The Treasury banned not only GPB but also six of its subsidiaries operating internationally from the global finance system. Among other financial institutions added to the sanctions list are BCS Bank and CentroCredit Bank.
In total, some 100 entities and individuals were added to the list.
