The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that the Yemen-based Houthis launched six anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs) toward the Southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

Three of the ASBMs were aimed at a Greek-owned bulk carrier MV Star Nasia in the Gulf of Aden. The vessel reported minor damage but no injuries as one of the missiles exploded near the ship. The second missile caused no damage, while the third was intercepted and destroyed by the USS Laboon. CENTCOM stated that MV Star Nasia remained seaworthy.

The Barbados-flagged, UK-owned cargo ship MV Morning Tide, operating in the Southern Red Sea, was attacked with the remaining three ASBMs but suffered no damage and reported no injuries.
