The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) published updates on the bulk carrier Tutor and the cargo ship Verbena that were recently hit by Houthi forces.
In a post on X, the command said that the crew of the M/V Tutor, a Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned vessel that was attacked on June 12, abandoned the ship and were rescued by USS Philippine Sea and partner forces. "Tutor remains in the Red Sea and is slowly taking on water," it said.
In addition, the US army also confirmed that the M/V Verbena a Palauan-flagged, Ukrainian-owned, Polish-operated vessel resumed transit in the Gulf of Aden after its crew managed to extinguish the fire caused by the second strike in 24 hours.
