The United States has made it clear to India that it is concerned with the latter's relations with Russia, the State Department's spokesperson Matthew Miller said at Monday's press conference.
"We would urge India, as we do any country which engages with Russia, to make clear that any resolution to the conflict in Ukraine needs to be one that respects the UN [United Nations] Charter with respect to Ukraine's territorial integrity, Ukraine's sovereignty," Miller said.
His remarks came amid Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to Russia, which will include meetings with that country's President Vladimir Putin.
