United States Secret Service counter-sniper teams faced delays in responding to the shooter at former President Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania due to obstructed views, the Washington Post reported.
A 3D analysis conducted by the media outlet revealed that agents likely couldn't spot the assailant due to the roof's slope and nearby trees. Despite this, they had had their weapons ready two minutes before the attack, which could reportedly indicate they were aware of the threat beforehand.
The news agency also cited an unnamed law enforcement official as saying that the sniper who neutralized the shooter did hesitate briefly to assess the situation before firing.
