Voter turnout at a referendum in the Moscow-controlled Donetsk region was 23.64% on Friday, Russia's Interfax news agency reported, citing officials.
On the first day of voting, 21.97% of the Lugansk region was at the polls, with voter turnout in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson at the respective 20.5% and 15%.
The four regions in eastern Ukraine began voting on Friday to decide whether they want to join the Russian Federation or remain part of Ukraine.
