Hamas refuted on Thursday, via a message on Telegram, any claims that it has reached an agreement with Israel regarding the ceasefire proposal put forth in Paris.
"There is no agreement on the proposal yet and Hamas has significant remarks. The Qatari statement has hastiness in it and is not correct... Zionist [Israeli] media is publishing fabricated and false news to stir public opinion about the negotiations," the group added.
Hamas' statement was made in response to a previous report by Al Jazeera saying that both parties had reached an initial understanding on the ceasefire proposal. The post was later edited by the media, stating that Qatar was anticipating a response from Hamas regarding the truce deal.
