Wall Street deepens losses, Nasdaq 100 plunges 1.5%

Major stock indexes in the United States deepened losses during the trading session on Tuesday, with the Nasdaq 100 shrinking over 1.5%, pulled down by tech companies.

The Trade Desk Inc. led the decline, plunging by over 8%. Additionally, shares of chipmaker Nvidia Corporation, expected to release its quarterly earnings report on Wednesday, declined by over 6%. Meanwhile, Tesla Inc.'s stock lost almost 5%, while Amazon.com Inc., Microsoft Corporation, and Meta Platforms decreased by over 1%.

The Nasdaq 100 sank by 1.58% or 278 points at 12:17 pm ET. At the same time, the Dow Jones declined by 0.34%, and the S&P 500 fell by 0.93%. The euro climbed by 0.28% against the dollar at 12:18 pm ET, trading at $1.08100.
