Next week is set to be packed for investors as the earnings season is set to kick off with reports from major banks, including JPMorgan and Wells Fargo, the Federal Reserve is set to publish its meeting minutes and Tesla is finally scheduled to unveil its long-awaited self-driving Robotaxi.

The electric carmaker will hold an event on Thursday evening in Los Angeles, presenting the vehicles expected to be called Cybercab, which Elon Musk promised to be "one for the history books." The Tesla CEO recently called Tesla's autonomous driving competitor, Google's Waymo, "expensive" and "slow" when it comes to picking up customers, so investors will be keen to see how his company fares in the pricing and pick-up speed areas.

On Wednesday, the Fed will publish its minutes, detailing how it reached the decision to cut rates by 50 basis points at its September meeting and possibly hinting at its future moves.

Elsewhere, the conflict in the Middle East is set to continue dominating the news as Israel continues its operations in Gaza and Lebanon ahead of the anniversary of Hamas' attack on Israel. The country has also vowed to retaliate against Iran for striking the country in response to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah's assassination but is yet to decide when and how it will act.

Meanwhile, in the United States, the campaigning ahead of the presidential election is set to heat up. Republican candidate Donald Trump is set to hold several rallies, while former President Barack Obama is scheduled to rally for Kamala Harris. Harris herself is scheduled to make several TV appearances, including a 60 Minutes interview which will be shown on Monday.

The announcements of Nobel laureates for this year will also begin next week, with the Peace Prize to be awarded on Friday.
