White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated on Friday there was no specific timeline for United States President Joe Biden's phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, although he "is looking forward" to speaking with the latter as they have "areas of mutual interest."
Psaki stressed the fact Biden had not spoken to Netanyahu yet was not a "diss," adding that "we're here for just three weeks." She confirmed US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan had talked to "his Israeli counterpart" about the situation in the Middle East but could not reveal more details on their conversation.
Asked if Washington still considered both Israel and Saudi Arabia its important allies, Psaki said the administration was reviewing the country's policies concerning foreign relations and that it would present its official stance once the ongoing "processes see themselves through."
