White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pointed out that the United States was not involved in the recent incursion by Ukraine in Russia's Kursk region.

"We're certainly not engaged in any aspect of the planning or preparation of this operation," Jean-Pierre told reporters at a press briefing on Wednesday.

Earlier, Department of State spokesman Matthew Miller said that "Ukraine's actions in the Kursk region do not violate US restrictions on the use of American weapons supplied to Kiev" and that the latter did not inform the US in advance about their intentions to carry out a mission in the region.
