White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reaffirmed on Tuesday that the United States does not want to see the Israel Defense Forces undertaking a "major operation" in the Gazan city of Rafah.

Speaking at a press conference, Jean-Pierre insisted that Washington wants Israel to present a "comprehensive plan" of its operation and what it will do to protect civilians living and displaced in the area.

Commenting on the report the US deliberately slowed down the deliveries of arms to Israel, Jean-Pierre shortly said that Washington's dedication to the Middle Eastern country's security remains "ironclad."
