Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) detained the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reporter Evan Gershkovich while he was on assignment in the city of Yekaterinburg on the suspicion that the journalist was "spying" for the United States government, TASS wrote on Thursday.
The 31-year-old American correspondent, currently covering stories in Russia, Ukraine, and the former Soviet Union, is suspected to have amassed information about one of the businesses in Russia's military-industrial complex that is considered to be a state secret.
