The Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Armenian battle positions situated in the eastern direction of the two countries' border, the Armenian Defense Ministry revealed in a statement on Friday, accusing Azerbaijan of breaching the ceasefire agreement.

According to the Armenian Defense Ministry statement, "fire was silenced by the retaliatory actions," by its forces, reporting no losses on its side.

Following the armed conflict between the two nations, the warring parties last week agreed to a cease-fire on their borders. The number of people killed and reported missing following the most recent confrontation with Azerbaijan in mid-September was later estimated by the Armenian Security Council to be 207.
