Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denied any weapons of mass destruction were being developed on the territory of Ukraine after Russia accused the country of making chemical weapons with funding provided by the United States Department of Defense.
"What are these allegations of preparing chemical attacks? Have you decided to carry out 'de-chemicalisation' of Ukraine?" Zelensky asked Moscow in his video address, suggesting that the Russian government may have a chemical attack plan of its own.
The Ukrainian leader also said about 100,000 people have been evacuated thus far using the evacuation corridors established on Wednesday. He condemn the Russian troops for allegedly launching an attack in the area of Mariupol where the corridor was supposed to be. Mariupol, along with Volnovakha, remains blocked.
