Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that despite the US is "constantly" changing the minerals deal's terms he does not want the North American country to have the impression that Ukraine "opposes" the deal.
"But I wouldn't like to leave the United States with the feeling that Ukraine is against them in general, because we have shown constantly [that we're] sending positive signals," he added. "We are in favor of the cooperation with the United States of America."
The Ukrainian leader's infamous confrontation with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance at the White House occurred moments prior to the agreement's scheduled signing. Zelensky departed beforehand.
