Belgium extradites Russian national suspected of ISIS links

Belgium extradited 30-year old Russian citizen Ali Gekhaev to Russia, Moscow's national security agency confirmed on Saturday. Gekhaev is accused of financing ISIS in Syria, the statement added. He had been living in Europe for a number of years and was known to authorities as an ISIS supporter for the past three years.

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said: "Russia's Federal Security Service together with the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, the Russian Interior Ministry's National Central Bureaus of Interpol and the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service organized the extradition from Belgium of internationally wanted Russian citizen Gekhaev Ali Abdul-Mutalipovich, born 1988."
