Clashes along Gaza border claim 5 lives

Five Palestinians were killed by Israeli troops on Friday during protests at the Gaza-Israel border, Haaretz reported citing the Gaza Health Ministry report.

Around 1,000 people are taking part in the protests, reportedly throwing firebombs and explosive, while the military is said to be using live ammunition. Last Friday, at least two people were killed, while over 100 were reported injured.

Thousands congregated at the border on March 30 to mark Land Day, a commemoration of a 1976 event when six unarmed Arab citizens were killed by the army amid land confiscation protests. The mass Friday protests have continued since. At least 180 Palestinians lost their lives, according to certain reports.
