Disney's streaming service to be called Disney+

Disney's subscription video-on-demand service will be called Disney+ and is expected to launch late 2019, Bob Iger told investors following company's earnings report.

Disney announced earlier that it will pull all its movies from Netflix in 2019 and start its own streaming service. The company is hoping that the $71.3 billion investment in Fox and its library will be able to attract Netflix subscribers to pay for its video content.

The Disney+ service will also have new, original shows and movies including Marvel and Star Wars series, including original series featuring Marvel character Loki and a prequel series to Star Wars movie "Rogue One."
