Dow down 300pts after trading briefly in the green

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost over 300 points in intraday trading on Wall Street, after United States markets briefly traded in the green earlier today.

Previously, top White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow stressed that the Dow was "still up significantly," marking a 40% growth since US President Donald Trump took office. The benchmark index closed more than 800 points lower on Wednesday, marking the steepest decline since February.

The Dow was down 1.44% at 5:13 pm CET, while the S&P 500 lost 2.43% at the same time. The Nasdaq 100 traded 1.16% in the negative territory.
