Giuliani: Mueller accused Manafort of lying

United States President DonaldTrump's attorney Rudy Giuliani told CNN on Friday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team informed Paul Manafort's attorneys that the one-time Trump's campaign manager lied to them about the US president.

Giuliani said that the investigation team believed Manafort was lying that Trump was unaware of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting that president's former campaign head attended with Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and a Russian lawyer. He stated that his insight into what Manafort told Mueller is "limited." The alleged lies Manafort told the Mueller's team, which led to the breaking of the cooperation agreement, will be disclosed in a filing that the special counsel will submit to a federal court on Friday.

Mueller's court filings are also expected to reveal more details about Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, who has admitted lying to Congress.
