Manafort pleads guilty, will work with Mueller - report

United States President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort pleaded guilty on Friday to conspiracy charges brought forward by Special Counsel Robert Mueller under a plea deal. Manafort admitted to crimes relating to his consulting work before he joined Trump's campaign in 2016. The extent of his cooperation with Mueller is still unknown.

American media suggested on Thursday he reached a "tentative" deal with Mueller, but it was not clear whether he agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the investigation into Russian election meddling and Trump's possible obstruction of justice. Manafort was previously found guilty on eight charges of bank and tax fraud, which was followed by news the president is considering granting him a pardon.
