N. Korean media slams Seoul over 'blind obedience' to US

North Korean media blamed Seoul for the lack of progress in improving inter-Korean relations as foreseen in the Panmunjom Declaration and accused South Korea of "blind obedience" to the United States.

"It's been more than 100 days since the April 27 Panmunjom Declaration was adopted, but no fruit or progress has been produced. It is because of America's sanctions and the South's unfair participation in them," Uriminzokkiri, a North Korean state-controlled website, said.

The Panmunjom Declaration was signed in April when North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in met for the first time and agreed to formally end the decades-long Korean War and to work towards the complete denuclearization of the peninsula. North and South Korean officials are scheduled to review the implementation of the achieved agreements at a meeting next week.
