Markets in the United States closed sharply higher with all major indexes ending over 1% in the green after the Trump administration unveiled its budget proposal for 2019, as well as a $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan.

The Nasdaq 100 jumped 1.73%. Alexion Pharmaceuticals led the gains as its shares surged 6.29%.

The S&P 500 climbed 1.38%. CSRA pushed the index higher as the IT company rocketed 31.05% on news it agreed to be sold to General Dynamics for $9.6 billion.

The euro traded flat against the dollar to sell for 1.2291 at 10:05 pm CET.
