Former United States President Donald Trump will never be allowed to have a Twitter account again after his @realdonaldtrump handle was banned, Twitter CFO Ned Segal confirmed on Wednesday.

Asked on CNBC if Trump would be allowed back on the social network if he ran for office again, Segal stated: "If you are removed from the platform, you are removed from the platform."

Twitter permanently suspended Trump's account on January 9, in the aftermath of the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill.
