Former United States President Donald Trump's campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung said in a statement that it would be inappropriate to schedule a debate between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris because the Democrats could still "change their minds."
"Given the continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, general election debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee," the statement said. Cheung also alleged former President Barack Obama saw Harris as a "Marxist fraud" incapable of beating Trump.
Previously, Harris said she was ready to debate Trump on September 10, accepting a previous challenge by the former president who wanted it to be hosted by Fox News.
