Trump decides to impose tariffs on Chinese imports - report

United States President Donald Trump decided to impose import tariffs on Chinese products, Financial Times reported citing people with knowledge on the details of his earlier meeting with advisers on Thursday.

The tariffs are reportedly to encompass around $50 billion in Chinese goods, while the White House is expected to release a list of about 1,300 tech products which are to be hit with levies.

In a briefing earlier during the day White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said that Trump already made a decision on tariffs.
