Trump: Russia allegations 'disgrace'

United States President Donald Trump dismissed on Monday allegations he ever worked for the Russian government, calling them a "big fat hoax" and a "disgrace." "I never worked for Russia," he told reporters as he departed for New Orleans where he will be speaking at the Farm Bureau Convention.

Over the weekend, a report suggesting the Federal Bureau of Investigations started a probe into President Trump's ties with Moscow after the firing of former FBI director James Comey emerged. According to the report, suspicions of the president's connections to the Kremlin first arose during the 2016 presidential election, but they were not acted upon before the US president tied Comey's firing to the Russia investigation.

Additionally, Trump said he believes Washington will be able to secure a trade deal with China as Beijing is willing to negotiate.
