Trump's personal aide fired over security clearance - reports

John McEntee, the personal assistant to the United States President Donald Trump, was fired on Monday and escorted from the White House after failing to obtain a security clearance for unspecified reasons, media reported on Tuesday. However, the administration revealed on Monday that he will serve as the senior adviser to the president's campaign.

According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Trump's longtime personal aide was not allowed to collect his personal belongings before he was forced out of his workplace. Press Secretary for the White House Sarah Sanders declined to comment on the case. "We don't comment on personnel issues," she told WSJ.
